iKnow Software Ltd (formerly Edit Websites Ltd) is the company behind the iKnow family of cloud software, helping churches, charities and other organisations manage administration, communication, websites, safeguarding and giving.
Our journey began in December 2002 when our founder and CEO, Kyle Cottington, started developing a website builder specifically for churches. The first website went live in September 2003, and over the past two decades the platform has evolved into a powerful website solution now used by churches, charities, schools and businesses across the UK.
In September 2014 we acquired iKnow Church, originally launched by another company in 2010. Since then we have invested extensively in the platform, continually expanding its capabilities to help churches manage people, events, volunteers, communication, giving and day-to-day administration.
Building on that success, we launched iKnow Charity, bringing together our powerful CRM and donations platform for charities and other not-for-profit organisations.
In 2024 we introduced iKnow Safeguarding, providing organisations with dedicated tools for managing safeguarding concerns, DBS checks and safer recruitment. These features are available both within iKnow Church and iKnow Charity, as well as through our standalone iKnow Safeguarding platform.
Today, iKnow Software continues to develop and support all of its products in-house, with a commitment to creating secure, reliable and easy-to-use software that helps organisations spend less time on administration and more time on the people they serve.
